Cookie Policy

How JSON Drift uses cookies: no tracking in the tools themselves, optional Google Analytics for aggregate usage, and how to opt out in your browser.

Last updated: March 12, 2026

Overview

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. JsonDrift uses a minimal set of cookies and browser storage technologies.

Strictly necessary

  • Theme preference (if stored via next-themes in local storage) — remembers light/dark mode.
  • Editor session (sessionStorage) — preserves JSON editor content during your browser session.

Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics (G-3CE628TFED) which may set cookies such as _ga and _gid to distinguish users and sessions. These help us understand aggregate traffic, not the content of your JSON.

Managing cookies

  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
  • Use Google’s analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Clear site data to remove local storage used by tools.
